Press quotes:

”Anders Christiansen is notable once again with this powerful and expressive contribution. A reworking of the solo Man and Child, 1963, inspired by Francis Bacon's painting of the same name, set to music by The Military Band of the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards. A surrealistic, sleepwalk-like reminiscence danced in a salmon-coloured slip and mixed with surprising slide projection tricks and unequivocally unkind salutes to militant and mechanical dances/drills. A strictly administered and minimal grotesquerie with both wit and bite.”
Majbrit Hjelmsbo ( Teater Et, November 1994)

”The evening's longest and weightiest solo was Anders Christiansen's Man and Child, 1963. Anders Christiansen, dressed in a shabby pink slip, presented man/woman dualism in one and the same person, with his usual powerful style, individualism, humour and precision. He also addresses how this person stands in the shadow of a conformist father figure in a suit that is projected onto the dancer. Francis Bacon's painting, 'Man and Child', at Louisiana has inspired Anders Christiansen in this choreography that reaches emotional extremes.”
Vibeke Wern (Berlingske Tidende, 28th November 1997)
